Walking Tips: How Much Walking A Day Can Prevent Heart Disease?

In order to stay fit, you should also do light exercise along with proper nutrition. It is well known that there is no substitute for daily exercises other than walking. Be it blood pressure control, blood sugar control, weight loss... the solution to all problems is hidden in this walk. A study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine revealed that walking 10,000 steps a day can reduce the risk of heart disease and death. By walking 2,200 to 10,000 feet, the risk of diseases can be avoided.

The million dollar question is how is it possible to walk ten thousand steps in a single day as there is no time to spare in a busy life. There is a solution for that too. This is possible if you stop using the elevator and start taking the stairs, be it office or home. Stairs should be used to keep the body fit. Instead of relying on a car or scooter to go to the office, park your vehicle a little further away rather than parking in front of the office. If you have pets you can take them for a walk. If you don't have time all day then you can walk for 30 minutes after dinner. This time is suitable for walking. Also, instead of going online for daily supplies, one has to go to the market and walk to get fresh vegetables and household goods. By doing this you can keep your body fit. If you have any foot or knee problem, consult a doctor before going for a walk. Start walking only after knowing how far you can walk in a day.
