Sehwag Dismisses Opener Role for Virat in T20 World Cup 🏏

In a recent twist in cricket talks, as the current IPL season showcases Virat Kohli in exceptional form, the debate heats up about him opening with Rohit Sharma in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Former cricket star Virender Sehwag has stepped in to voice his opinion, suggesting Kohli should continue batting at the third position, enhancing the team's strength during the middle overs, much like Sachin Tendulkar's strategic position shift in the 2007 World Cup.

Sehwag reminisced about Sachin's willingness to adapt for the team’s benefit, despite his personal discomfort in the middle order. "When you have solid openers, sticking to the No. 3 position is not wrong," Sehwag commented. He emphasized the importance of building on the good starts provided by openers, a strategy Kohli is no stranger to, and which he would likely not oppose.

Furthermore, Kohli's fiery response to his critics following RCB's recent victory over GT highlights his commitment to the team's success over personal records, stating, "I've been doing this for 15 years. Those who've faced similar challenges understand this perspective."
