HeatwaveAlert: 5 Deaths in One Day Due to Soaring Temperatures in Telangana 🌞🔥

Telangana is currently under the grip of an extreme heatwave, with temperatures skyrocketing and causing widespread discomfort. The searing heat is particularly severe from 7 AM to 5 PM, making it risky for locals to venture outside. On Monday, April 29, the small town of Matooru in Nalgonda district recorded a staggering 45.5 degrees Celsius, the highest in the state. Other areas like Mangapeta and Timmapuram are not far behind, with temperatures soaring above 44 degrees Celsius.

The empty streets in the afternoon bear testimony to the harsh conditions. The state weather department has issued warnings that the intense heat will continue until May 3, with a risk of dry winds across several districts including Mahabubnagar, Khammam, Karimnagar, Warangal, and Nizamabad. An "Yellow Alert" has been issued for these districts, indicating significant risk. Unfortunately, the severe conditions have already claimed five lives in a single day due to heatstroke.

Residents are advised to stay indoors, especially during peak heat hours, and stay hydrated. The state government is taking measures to mitigate the impact, but the next few days are critical.
