Google Pixel 8A Launch in India What’s New?


After much anticipation, Google has officially launched the Google Pixel 8A smartphone in India. This latest offering comes with a fresh design and is powered by the Tensor G3 SoC chipset, which was previously exclusive to the higher models like Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The announcement was made just a week ahead of Google's annual developer conference scheduled for May 14, 2024.

Available in Alloy, Bay, Obsidian, and Porcelain colors, the Pixel 8A is designed in two storage variants. The 8GB + 128GB model is priced at ₹52,999, while the 8GB + 256GB variant will cost ₹59,999. Sales will kick off on the morning of May 14 at 6:30 AM, with pre-order options available exclusively on Flipkart. Customers can benefit from up to ₹4,000 in bank offers and a 12-month no-cost EMI on select bank cards. Those who pre-order the Pixel 8A can purchase Pixel Buds A-Series for just ₹999.

The Pixel 8A boasts a Tensor G3 chipset and a Titan M2 security coprocessor, with Android 14. It features a 120Hz refresh rate and a 6.1-inch flat OLED super display. Camera capabilities include a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera on the back. It supports 4,492mAh battery capacity, 7.5W wireless charging, and 18W wired fast charging.

Other features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, a Type-C USB port, and GPS navigation systems. The device also supports a virtual eSIM and one physical SIM, continuing the design legacy of its predecessors.
