The election results in Andhra Pradesh are becoming clear with the vote counting underway. The TDP supporters are overjoyed, and celebrations have begun outside Chandrababu Naidu’s residence in Undavalli. The TDP headquarters in Mangalagiri is also buzzing with activity as party workers gather in large numbers, bursting crackers and shouting slogans.
Just yesterday, TDP supporters were chanting “CM, CM” outside the party office. Today, within an hour of counting starting, TDP surged into a significant lead, causing immense joy among leaders and workers.
In Konaseema, Rayalaseema, and Coastal Andhra, TDP candidates are leading while YSRCP appears to be lagging. So far, TDP is leading in 125 constituencies on its own, with allies Jana Sena leading in 17 and BJP in 7. The ruling YSRCP is leading in 20 places.
