TRAI's New Rule to Show Caller Names on Mobile Screens! 📱👀

Have you ever been puzzled by a call from an unknown number? Worry no more! The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has mandated all telecom companies nationwide to implement the Calling Name Presentation (CNP) feature. This new rule will ensure that if someone calls you and their number isn't saved in your phone, their name will still appear on your screen. This change aims to enhance user convenience and security, making anonymous calls a thing of the past.

Currently, many smartphone users rely on third-party apps like Truecaller to identify unknown callers. These apps require extensive permissions to function, which could compromise personal data. With TRAI's new mandate, the need for such apps will decrease, providing a built-in solution for recognizing callers.

The trial phase for the Calling Name Presentation feature is starting in Haryana, chosen as the pilot region by TRAI. If successful, this feature will roll out across the country, eliminating the reliance on third-party apps and improving phone call transparency. Stay tuned as we move toward a more secure and user-friendly calling experience!ది.
