Nervous Wait as Postal Ballot Counting Begins

In Andhra Pradesh, excitement is building as the counting of postal ballots begins at 8 AM. Officials will first count postal ballots, a process that will take about half an hour. Some regions might take a bit longer. After completing the postal ballot counting, the officials will start counting the EVMs.

Initial postal ballot results show a slight decrease in support for YSRCP, while the BJP-TDP-Janasena alliance shows a slight lead. In Rajahmundry Rural, Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary is leading by 91 votes in the first EVM round. In Nellore City, Narayana is ahead, and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is leading in Kuppam. YSRCP candidate Bharat is trailing in the first round. TDP candidate Putta Sudhakar Yadav is leading in Mydukur, and Jogeshwar Rao is ahead in Mandapeta. Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan has a 1000-vote lead in Pithapuram. Rajahmundry MP candidate Purandeswari is leading by 617 votes. In Mangalagiri, TDP's Nara Lokesh is ahead by 1500 votes. Yarlagadda Venkatrama Rao is leading in Gannavaram by 650 votes.

Counting will happen in 102 constituencies over two rounds, 48 constituencies over three rounds, and 25 constituencies over four rounds. Results for 111 constituencies will be announced in 20 rounds.
