#IPLRevelations: Gautam Gambhir's Biggest Fear Was Not Virat Kohli, But This IPL Titan!

Gautam Gambhir, the former captain and current mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), made a surprising revelation ahead of KKR's clash with Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. During a candid conversation on Star Sports, Gambhir disclosed the one batsman who used to give him sleepless nights during his tenure as captain—none other than Rohit Sharma.

While the cricket world has always been awed by the likes of Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers, Gambhir confessed that it was Rohit Sharma who really kept him on his toes. "In my entire IPL career as captain, the only player that had me worried was Rohit Sharma," said Gambhir. He elaborated that planning against Rohit required not just a Plan A, but a B and even C, underscoring the Mumbai Indians icon's ability to dominate the game.

Under Gambhir's leadership, KKR secured two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. He recalled times when standard strategies seemed sufficient for other players, but with Rohit, the stakes were always higher. Gambhir detailed how he would strategize extensively, considering various bowling options and adjustments specifically tailored to curb Rohit’s explosive batting.

Rohit Sharma, who led Mumbai Indians to five IPL championships, continues to be a formidable force in the league, despite no longer being the captain. His prowess at the crease remains unmatched, making him a player captains love to fear.
