🎉🔔 Medaram Mahajatara is over. A new record has been registered in the history of Medaram fair like never before. A month before the fair, during the four days of the fair, about two crore devotees paid their prayers to the forest deities Sammakka Sarakka.
Along with the payment of plants, the hundis were also filled to the brim with the gifts offered by the devotees. 512 hundis were completely filled till the end of the Telangana Kumbh Mela Medaram Maha Jatara in Mulugu district. The officials took the full hundis to the strong room of TTD Kalyana Mandapam in Hanumakonda amid tight security. Police have made tight security arrangements at Hundi Strong Rooms. Officials said that the counting of hundis will start from February 29. Under the supervision of CC cameras and in the presence of Medaram priests, the officials of the tax department will conduct the counting of hundis.
📆 In the 2022 fair, 497 hundis were set up and an income of 11 crore 44 lakh 12 thousand 707 rupees was obtained. 631 grams of gold and 48 kg of silver gifts were received. This time, the number of devotees has increased to a record level and the hundis have also increased. All the hundis set up in the Gaddela premises were full. Another 25 hundis are likely to be filled till Thiruguwaram fair. Seeing the full hundis is sure to increase the income this time. However, 1/3 of the income of the hundi is divided among the deity - priests. 🌐🌿
