Sreeleela, a promising young actress born on June 14, 2001, in Detroit, Michigan, USA, to a Telugu Hindu family, has carved a niche for herself in the Indian film industry. Despite her American roots, she was raised in Bangalore, India, where her mother, Swarnalatha, is a renowned gynecologist, and her father, industrialist Surapaneni Shubhakar Rao, parted ways with her mother before Leela's birth.
From an early age, Sreeleela showed a deep interest in the arts, starting her training in Bharatanatyam at just five years old. She pursued her dreams of becoming a doctor and completed her MBBS in 2022. In February of the same year, she showcased her compassionate side by adopting two disabled children, earning her acclaim not only for her professional but also her personal achievements.
Sreeleela made her film debut in the 2017 Telugu horror film "Chitrangada," and later appeared as the lead in the Kannada film "Kiss." Her breakthrough role in Telugu cinema came with "Pelli SandaD" in 2021, for which she won the Most Promising Newcomer award at SIIMA. She continued her success with the blockbuster "Dhamaka," which won her the Best Actress award at SIIMA.
