From Padma Shri To Daily Wage Worker Mogulayya's Struggle

In a surprising twist of fate, Mogulayya, a renowned Kinnera artist and Padma Shri awardee, has been compelled to work as a daily wager. Mogulayya, who gained national recognition after his traditional music was featured in Pawan Kalyan's movie "Bheemla Nayak", is now facing severe financial difficulties. At 73, he has taken up manual labor to meet the medical expenses of his son, which amount to Rs. 7,000 per month.

The news of Mogulayya's plight has stirred emotions across the community, with many expressing their sadness on social media. The issue caught the attention of Telangana's former IT Minister, KTR, who promptly responded, assuring immediate action to address Mogulayya's situation. This promise has sparked hope and brought widespread attention to the challenges faced by artists in preserving cultural heritage while struggling for survival.
