"Family Star's First Day at Box Office

This Friday, Vijay Deverakonda greeted audiences with his latest film, "Family Star," directed by Parasuram. The movie, a romantic family drama featuring Mrunal Thakur as the female lead and produced by Dil Raju, landed in theaters amid high expectations. However, the overseas premieres cast a shadow over its release with negative feedback flooding social media. Critics and fans alike have been vocal about their disappointment, particularly pointing out issues with the story, direction, comedy, and sentimental scenes.

Despite the anticipation, "Family Star" managed to collect only ₹5.75 crores worldwide on its opening day, as reported by trade circles, marking it as one of the lowest openings in Vijay Deverakonda's career. In contrast, his previous movie "Liger" had amassed a record-breaking ₹33 crores on its first day, despite its own share of negative reviews. "Family Star" significantly underperformed compared to "Liger," with collections nearly ₹20 crores lesser.

In the Nizam region alone, the film reportedly garnered over ₹3 crores, a figure that pales in comparison to "Liger's" phenomenal success. The negative buzz seems to have directly impacted the film's box office performance, indicating that "Family Star" might struggle to keep up in the race.
