#WeatherAlert for Hyderabad! Prepare for Thunderstorms

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for Hyderabad residents. Over the next four days, light to moderate showers with thunderstorms are expected in various parts of the city. According to the IMD, areas such as Charminar, Khairatabad, Kukatpally, LB Nagar, Secunderabad, and Serilingampally will experience rain accompanied by thunder and lightning until June 8. Additionally, gusty winds are likely.

The IMD has also issued a yellow alert for several districts in Telangana, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. On Tuesday, districts like Mulugu, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Jagityal, Nizamabad, and Hyderabad received rainfall.

Due to pre-monsoon showers, temperatures have dropped across the state. On Tuesday, Mahabubnagar recorded 33°C, while Hyderabad and Khairatabad saw temperatures drop to 36.2°C. Telangana residents, who have been battling summer heat, are hopeful that the forecasted rainfall will provide some relief.

The southwest monsoon has already arrived in Telangana, moving actively across the state. Usually, the monsoon hits Telangana in the second week of June, but this year it arrived a week earlier. The IMD has predicted that this year the state may witness above-normal rainfall.
