Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, a well-known name among Telugu audiences, has risen from short films to becoming a leading actor. He made a significant impact in Telugu cinema with his role in "Uppena" and has since built a strong fan base. His latest film, "Maharaji," is set to release in Tamil and Telugu, and he shared some interesting insights during a press meet in Hyderabad.
When asked about acting in a film with Balakrishna, Vijay Sethupathi expressed his admiration for the actor, wishing him a happy birthday and mentioning that he is a big fan. "I've seen many of Balakrishna's trolls, but his performances have always impressed me," Vijay said. He particularly praised Balakrishna's ability to handle the camera on set. He recalled meeting Balakrishna during the 100-year Tamil cinema celebrations in Chennai, where they shared a memorable hug, though he's unsure if Balakrishna remembers it.
Vijay also spoke about the recent passing of Ramoji Rao, calling it an irreplaceable loss to the film industry. He fondly remembered his association with Ramoji Film City, saying he first visited in 2005 for the filming of Dhanush's "Pudhupettai," which was shot extensively there. He appreciated Ramoji Rao's vision in creating such a versatile location for filmmakers.
Talking about his acting journey, Vijay Sethupathi emphasized that there is no real difference between being an actor and a star, as both roles face their own challenges. He joined the film "Uppena" due to the passion of director Buchi Babu and is eagerly waiting for more opportunities in Telugu cinema.
