Unexpected Results In Telangana BRS Is Second Position

In the Telangana Lok Sabha elections, there was a fierce battle between the Congress and BJP. Out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats, the results were surprising with Congress and BJP competing head-to-head in 8 seats each. The MIM retained its stronghold as usual, but the unexpected element was the lack of impact from the opposition BRS party, leaving their supporters disappointed.

In Telangana, the ruling Congress party is leading in 8 seats. These seats include Peddapalli, Zaheerabad, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Khammam, Bhongir, Nalgonda, and Nagarkurnool. Candidates from Khammam and Nalgonda are heading towards a significant majority. An analysis of the vote share reveals that Congress secured 40.5%, BJP 34.5%, and BRS 17.4%.

The BJP, known as the "saffron party," is making significant strides compared to previous elections. In 2019, the BJP won only four MP seats. This time, they are leading in 8 seats, with candidates in Karimnagar and Malkajgiri moving towards a substantial majority.

The Congress party's efforts to achieve double digits in Telangana's parliamentary seats have been hindered by the "Modi wave," boosting the BJP's seat count unexpectedly. Previously, the BJP had only won in Secunderabad. This time, they have gained ground in twin cities and Ranga Reddy district, leading in Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, and Chevella.
