🏏 The much-anticipated T20 World Cup is set to kick off on June 1st! Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India is gearing up to break their 11-year ICC trophy drought. Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh, the brand ambassador for this World Cup, has announced his ideal playing XI for the tournament. He has high hopes for Hardik Pandya, despite a less impressive IPL performance, believing Hardik will shine in the World Cup due to his bowling skills and fitness.
Yuvraj’s opening duo is Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal, with Virat Kohli at number three and Suryakumar Yadav at number four. For the wicketkeeper position, Yuvraj prefers Rishabh Pant over Sanju Samson, citing Pant's left-handed advantage and match-winning abilities.
He also emphasized the importance of having Yuzvendra Chahal in the team due to his excellent bowling and the potential slowing down of pitches in the latter part of the tournament. Yuvraj praised the strong pace attack with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, and Arshdeep Singh, but stressed the need to prove their strength on the field.
Yuvraj Singh's Probable Playing XI:
Rohit Sharma (Captain)
Yashasvi Jaiswal
Virat Kohli
Suryakumar Yadav
Rishabh Pant (Wicketkeeper)
Hardik Pandya
Shivam Dube
Yuzvendra Chahal
