#India'sForeignPolicyShift: PM Modi Visits Poland After Four Decades 🇮🇳

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a historic visit to Poland, marking the first time in four decades that an Indian Prime Minister has set foot in the country. The last visit was by then-Prime Minister Morarji Desai in 1979. During his visit, PM Modi emphasized the significant transformation in India’s foreign policy over the years.

He pointed out that for decades, India’s foreign policy was characterized by maintaining distance from many countries. However, he highlighted that there has been a 180-degree shift in this approach. Today, India seeks to build close relationships with all nations, embracing a policy of global engagement. PM Modi stated that modern India aims to connect with everyone, driven by the belief that such connections benefit all parties involved. He also mentioned that the world now respects India as a global connector and a nation that fosters international bonds.

Currently in Warsaw, there are possibilities that PM Modi might travel to Ukraine via rail to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, underscoring India’s active role in global diplomacy.
