Hyderabad has been a point of discussion since Telangana's formation on June 2, 2014. As per the bifurcation law, Hyderabad was declared a joint capital for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for ten years. This period is set to end on June 2 this year, sparking debates about the city's future. Recently, BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) claimed there were conspiracies to make Hyderabad a Union Territory. He alleged that efforts would start after June 2, hinting at a deal between BJP and Congress.Telangana CM Revanth Reddy responded to these comments, dismissing KTR's claims as false. He assured that Hyderabad would not become a Union Territory under any circumstances and promised that the state's development and administration would be his focus moving forward. He also mentioned that BJP had previously clarified that there were no such plans and that KTR was spreading misinformation. With the recent conclusion of parliamentary elections, political activities are expected to slow down, and the focus will shift back to state development.
