Free Aadhaar Update Alert Last 3 Days Left!

Only three days are left for the free Aadhaar card update. The UIDAI has set June 14, 2024, as the deadline for free updates. Previously, UIDAI extended the deadline for free updates. This free service is available online only. If you visit an Aadhaar center for an update, you will have to pay update charges.

You can update Aadhaar for free online only

Free Aadhaar update service is available on the myAadhaar portal. You can visit the Aadhaar center or update it online yourself. To update the Aadhaar card, customers need to provide necessary information like their demographic data, address, date of birth, and mobile number. Many demographic data in Aadhaar can be updated online, but there are several updates that require a visit to the Aadhaar center. For example, anyone who needs to update iris or biometric data has to visit the Aadhaar center.

Here’s how to update Aadhaar online for free:

  1. First, open the website https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.

  2. Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar. Enter the OTP to log in.

  3. Go to the Document Update section and check your personal details.

  4. Identify the details that need changes and upload a scanned copy of the relevant original document for verification.

  5. Note the service request number for future reference.

  6. If you took your children's Aadhaar cards when they were under five years old, update their biometrics now. Update their biometrics once after they turn five and again after they turn fifteen.

Where Aadhaar is needed:

Aadhaar is essential for opening bank accounts, availing government schemes, buying SIM cards, buying a house, and other financial activities. Not updating your Aadhaar regularly can halt many processes. People cannot use incorrect information in such cases.
