The Political Affairs Committee meeting is going to be held for the first time after Congress came to power in Telangana. CM Revanth Reddy along with ministers and other important leaders will be present in this meeting to be held today. There is widespread interest in setting up PAC, the highest decision-making body in the party. In this meeting, there is a chance to discuss the appointment of nominated posts and MLCs. Party leaders are of the view that since the meeting is being held after the formation of the government, there is a chance to discuss the assignment of key responsibilities to key leaders. Also, it seems that the appointment of new DCCs will also be discussed. Keeping in view the Parliament elections, the party is likely to take appropriate measures for further strengthening.
Political analysts are of the opinion that there will be a discussion between the leaders to take steps towards strengthening the way the party worked before the elections. The PAC will focus on designing a roadmap to capture as many seats as possible out of the 17 MP seats in the state. Apart from that, there is also a possibility to discuss about ten days governance issues. Party sources said that apart from knowing whether the government schemes are being implemented properly, they are going to discuss in this meeting to establish leaders at the district level to know whether those schemes are benefiting the people.
CM Revanth Reddy will go to Delhi on 19th of this month. It seems that Revanth will discuss the issue of cabinet expansion and nominated posts with the high command. As the Lok Sabha elections are approaching, Revanth Reddy hopes to invigorate the party through the distribution of posts. At present six seats are vacant in the Telangana Cabinet. It has many key departments along with the Home Department. Nizamabad, Adilabad, Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts are not represented in the current cabinet. With this, CM Revanth Reddy will hold discussions with the party leadership to take into account all the factors along with the social equations. 🏛🗳️
