Bhadrakali Ammavari Shakambari Navaratri Mahotsavam Begins! 🌺✨

The grand Shakambari Navaratri celebrations of Sri Bhadrakali Ammavaru have commenced! These festivities will take place from today until the 21st. The event kicks off with Sahasra Kalashabhishekam, Ganapati Puja, and Poorvanga Vidhi. Usually a 15-day event, this year it extends to 16 days due to Adhika Masa. On the 21st, the full moon day, devotees will witness the complete Shakambari form of the goddess. During these festivities, the Bhadrakali temple will be adorned with various vegetables, greens, fruits, and grains, symbolizing abundance and prosperity. Devotees believe that seeking the goddess's blessings during this time will prevent drought and fulfill their wishes. The Shakambari Navaratri Mahotsavam originated in the Bhadrakali temple during the month of Ashadha and has since spread to various regions. Special arrangements have been made to ensure that the visiting devotees face no inconvenience during the festival. The festivities began this morning with the lighting of the sacred lamp by local MLA Nayini Rajender Reddy, along with temple officials and priests, followed by the abhishekam for the goddess.
