During his visit to Bengaluru, YS Jagan returned to Tadepalli upon learning about the recent events. He traveled from Mangalagiri to Vinukonda, where he was warmly welcomed by YSRCP workers, leaders, and former ministers along the way. Jagan greeted his supporters from his car and received an enthusiastic response from the crowd eager to see him.
Upon reaching Vinukonda, Jagan visited the home of Rashid, who had recently lost his life. He paid floral tributes to Rashid and consoled the grieving family, who were overwhelmed with emotion upon seeing him. They explained the circumstances of Rashid's murder and expressed their dissatisfaction with the police's handling of the case. The family demanded justice and urged Jagan to ensure that those responsible are punished.
After consoling the family, Jagan held a press conference where he declared that law and order had collapsed in the state. He announced his intention to bring the issue to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's attention and demanded the imposition of President's Rule in Andhra Pradesh. Jagan cited over 300 attempted murders, 560 private and 450 government property destructions, and more than 1,000 assaults in just 45 days as evidence of the state's lawlessness. He condemned the police's inaction and accused them of failing to protect the citizens, pointing to the recent brutal murder of Rashid as an example.
Jagan also mentioned that he has written a letter to PM Modi, condemning the police's failures and highlighting the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. He announced a protest in Delhi on July 24, Wednesday, where he will be joined by 10 MLAs, MLCs, MPs, Rajya Sabha members, former ministers, and key party leaders.
