Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple: The Unsolved Mystery of the Seventh Vault 🚪🔍

Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is renowned for its immense wealth and the mysterious seventh vault. With treasures like diamonds, gold ornaments, and golden idols, the temple has assets worth around $20 billion. The idol of Lord Vishnu itself, made of gold, is valued at around ₹500 crores. One of the gold chains is 18 feet long, and the curtain for the deity is made of 36 kg of gold.

The Hidden Wealth in Six Vaults

In 2011, under the supervision of the Supreme Court, six out of seven vaults were opened, revealing an astounding amount of treasure. The vaults contained over ₹1 lakh crore worth of gold, diamond jewelry, and other valuable artifacts.

The Mystery of the Seventh Door

The seventh door remains shrouded in mystery and controversy. When attempts were made to open this vault, the Supreme Court intervened and imposed restrictions. The door is made of wood and features a carving of a large snake, believed to be the guardian of the treasures inside. It's said that the door is protected by the celestial serpent, Adishesha, and opening it might bring calamity.

The Sacred Mantras

It is believed that the door was sealed using powerful mantras, and only a special Garuda mantra can open it. Experts and scholars say that any mistake in the ritual could be catastrophic. This has deterred anyone from attempting to open the seventh vault.
